- UDC leader Pier Ferdinando Casini announced a parliament initiative to make a test to verify if parliament members make use of drugs obligatory. "Italians have I right to know if the parliament members they choose are addicts" Casini explained. "In the name of transparency I believe that a test for all members is indispensable". For the ex-Speaker of the House there is no need for "a extemporary and non-scientific experiment, but an official test carried out by the institutes directly.
