The 60th CELC congress - Strasbourg - November 4 to 7, 2009
From November 4 to 7, the European Confederation for Flax and Hemp (CELC) is organizing the 60th edition of its annual congress in Strasbourg. This event is in perfect coherence with two major international events currently underway, the European Year of Creativity and Innovation and the International Year of Natural Fibers (UN/FAO).
Natural Fibers, innovation and sustainable development
The innovative and creative fiber
The ambition of this congress is to redefine, at the current moment, new perspectives and markets for natural linen and hemp fibers which reconcile innovation and sustainable development. A natural fiber with confirmed environmental qualities, Linen’s excellence is inscribed at the heart of innovation, advanced research and organic materials for the future, and may well « light the way » along the path towards a world more respectful of the planet. Hemp, with its equivalent environmental qualities, offers new perspectives today in eco-construction and sustainable dwellings.
The CELC’s 60th congress will reflect this important strategic mutation by inviting experts, professionals, political personalities and national and international institutions as its speakers.
